Roof Applications include all tiles, flat concrete, corrugated galvanised and asbestos sheeting. The high fibre acrylic paste waterproofing compound is ideal for domestic and industrial use; easy application over prefabricated metal roof panels. This flexible system when applied in a white colour will reflect sunlight, thus causing a lower temperature in the structure. Do not apply in rainy conditions; for best results apply in cool weather conditions.
Instructions
for use: Asbestos, Metal and Tiled Roofs
1. Remove old waterproofing.
2, Clean surfaces with a wire brush. Wash surfaces with clean water.
3. Gently knock in roof screws. If loose, replace with a longer roof screw.
4. Using a small bruch (50mm), paint generously over all roof screws, laps
in the sheeting and around the pipes. On tiled roofs, paint the joints between
the ridge tiles and repair broken tiles by painting onto the broken edges
and repositioning them; then paint over.
5. For
unpainted asbestos roofs, dilute Bulldog Seal 50:50 with water and apply as
a primer.
Estimated usage: 0,5 litre per square metre roof area.
Instructions
for use: Concrete Roofs
1. Remove old waterproofing.
2. Clean surfaces with wire brush. Wash surfaces with clean water.
3. Dilute Bulldog Seal 50:50 with water and apply as a primer.
4. Paint two coats of Bulldog Seal at 1 litre per square metre. Paint one
coat in one dirrection, and a second coat in a crosswise direction.
5. Where roof meets wall at parapet, turn waterproofing up for 100mm to form
a cove between the roof and wall by applying Bulldog Seal thickly (10mm) in
the corner. If parapet shows cracks, Bulldog Seal may be used as a sealer
for these cracks.
6. Dress waterproofing in all outlets and around pipes, etc.
Estimated usage: 1 litre per square metre roof area.

Bulldog Seal
The Lamont Hussey Observatory, situated on Naval Hill (Franklin Nature Reserve) in Bloemfontein. A coating of Bulldog Seal simultaneously sealed the leaks in the dome and provided a decorative coating to the building. The project was completed in 1978 and an inspection in 2007 showed no signs of deterioration. The Observatory was converted into an intimate theatre in the 1970s. While visitors can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the city, they can also observe giraffe, springbuck, ostriches and buffalo that roam freely on the plains the Franklin Nature Reserve.
